We wish Trish luck in her new role and we also welcome our new therapist, Aine O’Sullivan.
In welcoming Trish as Renew’s new Salon Manager, we must say goodbye to Amanda Arthur who has left us to set up her own venture. Good luck Amanda – we’ll miss you but we know you have a bright future ahead of you.

The bride to be that wasn’t!

Filed under: Hotel Life — Kenmare Bay Hotel @ 11:04 am

Poor Laura and Gideon – they were supposed to get married on Saturday, 24th April and have their Reception with us, but the volcanic eruption put paid to their plans as a lot of their friends and family from overseas couldn’t travel. Did that stop them having a good weekend? Not on your life! They came and stayed with us anyway, with a group of friends and family, and had a ball. That’s the only answer really isn’t it, when your wedding has to be postponed through no fault of your own. They painted Kenmare town red on the first evening and then spent the second evening at the hotel with a fantastic meal in the restaurant followed by a good old sing song. As they looked out at the lashing rain on Saturday, I’m sure they felt some relief that they didn’t get married that day. So, they’re off on Honeymoon now and they still have their wedding to look forward to in June! Best of luck Laura and Gideon – I’m sure the sun will be shining for you in June.

Kenmare Bay Hotel staff rock!

Filed under: Hotel Life — Kenmare Bay Hotel @ 1:30 pm

Our thanks to Stephen & Liz from Hampshire, UK who stayed with us recently and gave us this fantastic feedback: “We wanted to let you all know how delighted we were not just with the comfort, the cleanlines and facilities of the hotel but, even more importantly, with the care, the helpfulness and the friendliness of all the members of staff with whom we had the pleasure of coming into contact. The waitresses Kasia and Anna, and the Reception staff Angela, Lisa, and the gentleman who helped us on the Monday evening, whose name I’m afraid I don’t know, were all wonderful advertisements for your hotel; Angela went way beyond the call of duty in helping us make arrangements for our journey home, and Kasia seved us cheerfully late on the Monday evening of our arrival despite the fact that we were sitting down well after the time of ‘last orders’ – she didn’t even mention this, and nothing was too much trouble for her.”
