Winners of the ultimate job in the world – Denise & Mark Duffield-Thomas – have been staying at the Kenmare Bay Hotel for the last couple of days. As well as travelling the world testing out different countries, towns and venus as potential honeymoon destinations, the couple is also trying to break the world record for the highest number of wedding vow renewals. Last night they achieved their 62nd renewal ceremony on Kenmare Bay on board Seafari, with Michael Healy Rae doing the honours! It was a brillliant evening; the sea was like a millpond, the sun kept us warm throughout the cruise and Michael Healy Rae was on fine form. Following the ceremony, the couple was serenaded by Bonane Church Choir who sang ‘The Wedding Song’ for them. Champagne and cake rounded off a beautiful ceremony as Raymond Ross, Seafari’s captain, diligently steered the boat back towards Kenmare Pier. Mark and Denise then enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the Horseshoe Restaurant in town before retiring to their luxury lodge at the Kenmare Bay Hotel & Resort.
